If you are undecided on a location, we can offer recommendations.

How long does A session take?

Our Dog Gone Art Session typically run 60-90 minutes however, it's possible for a session to run longer in order to make sure we get what we need. A session could run long for a number of reasons, for example the number of models or a change in weather.

How do I prepare for my session?

Start thinking about how and where you would like to display your new artwork.  Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you a Pre-Shoot Preparation Guide outlining the steps you can take to ensure the best possible experience for you and your dog.

My dog can’t be off-leash or isn’t well-trained; can they still be photographed?

Your dog can stay on-leash for the entirety of the session.  It is easier to direct most dogs when they are on-leash, and many of the dogs featured in our portfolio were on-leash during their session. Removing the leash is part of the editing process; click here to see my before-and-afters.

My dog is shy, is that okay?

Yes, that is absolutely okay!  We will do everything we can to ensure that your dog is comfortable with us and with the camera before a single photo is taken.  We are dedicated to creating a comfortable environment for your dog, whether it takes fifteen minutes or two hours.  Whatever it takes, we will be there through it all.

We believe that every dog should have their special day in front of the camera and we will create a structure that works for your dog’s unique personality and needs.

Do you provide treats during the session?

Yes!  We provide 100% natural dehydrated treats.

How long does it take to produce the final products?

The final products are handcrafted in Italy within a time frame of four to six weeks.  Trust us… they will be worth the wait!

Can I be photographed with my dog? Can my family members be included in the session?

Absolutely!  Our sessions focus primarily on the dogs, but we also love to capture the bond between a dog and its human.  If you would like to be photographed alongside your dog, please choose neutral, simple clothing that will keep the focus on you and your dog.

What if it rains?

Many of our sessions take place outdoors, which can leave us at the mercy of the changing conditions.  Every season and weather condition can bring unique lighting, environments and diffusion.  If you have booked an outdoor shoot and the forecast shows rain for your session date, we are happy to reschedule or relocate.  If there is no sign of rain, we will continue with the session as planned.  We ask for your patience and understanding if our session must be postponed due to poor weather.

Do you photograph other types of pets?

Dog Gone Art exclusively photographs dogs.

Can I include more than one dog in my session?

You are welcome to include as many dogs as you would like in your session.  Please be sure to inform us in advance if you are interested in bringing more than one dog.  There may be additional charges for bringing more than two dogs from the same household.
